According to Democracy Now, journalist Amy Goodman and two other journalists were illegally arrested by Minneapolis police at the Republican Convention. Here's the video of Goodman's attempt to "free" two other journalists who were arrested while covering a demonstration:
Democracy Now maintains that, while police in riot gear were dealing with splinter unrest and vandalism after a march to end the Iraq War, squads also fired on journalists.
